Ancestry Ireland

Ancestry Ireland are giving a couple of free talks about starting your family tree. Research Officer Gillian Hunt will be speaking on, 'How to start your family history', at Ards Tourist Information Centre, Saturday 16th February, 11.00am and Belfast City Hall, Monday 18th March, 11.00am. Admission to both talks is free, although it would be advisable to book in advance.
It sounds like it would be beneficial for anyone interested in their family tree

Ancestors From Harrington

Harrington in Cumbria is where my Grandfather was born.. I am planning a trip to the UK this year and i thought it would be nice to visit the little town ,where so many Irish  made their home after leaving Ireland. I have just found on a Harrington Web site a photo of the Towns War Memorial and there was my Great Uncle's name Alan  McMullen.
